On the Subject of Cold

On the subject of cold,
We will stop for awhile,
Bring a warm hat,
while I dig up my file,
On the wonderful weather,
That's been here this week,
Even though it's suprising,
It was being a sneak.
It had gotten cooler,
As cold weather does,
And then it went BANG!
Now we need a coat with fuzz.
But enough on it's coming,
On to the feeling,
I suppose you can guess,
The chill will leave you reeling.
It will freeze all your whiskers,
Numb fingers and toes,
It will make a bright apple,
Out of your nose,
Sometimes we do grumble,
When shoveling the drive,
But there's no greater time,
Than sledding to feel alive!
