My Friend and Me
To walk with me,
Among the golden lilies,
And the soaring eagles free.
Here comes my friend,
To talk with me,
Of faraway places,
And things that we see.
The adventures are endless,
Far we will roam,
Until my friend and I,
Then travel home.
This poem is dedicated to C.M.P.

Song of the Thankful
And every tear You wipe away,
We thank You for the world lovely,
And every bird and buzzing bee,
We thank You for animals great and tall,
And how You don't care that some are small,
And most of all Lord,
We thank You,
For giving us Your love that's true.

Hi!
It's been really busy around here lately. Thing1 came home from summer break, and Saturday we went to the movies. The other day I wanted to make a book for my Grandpa, and I've made two so far. It's really fun! Anyway, that's all for now!

A note from Orion Wittifrid

The Day
The hot air is still,
The hint of a breeze.
The sun climbs higher,
In it's travels it shines down.
The breeze picks up,
Now it is a stream of air,
Weaving through the day.
It blows my hair into my face.
Dark clouds gather.
Roiling, swarming, gathering.
The wind is a mighty river now,
blowing over the hot, dry land.
The land is parched.
The wind picks up dust from the ground.
The dark clouds burst,
Torrents of icy water fall from the sky.
Now there really is a river in the air.
The wind dies down,
The dark clouds roll away,
Revealing a blue sky.
Evening comes,
dusk fills the air as the sun dies.
The day sets.

Returned
White foam topped the seas,
And out upon the waves so far,
A ship gave way to the breeze.
The beach was warm and sandy,
Farther back the grass was green,
The beach gave way to a forest,
Beneath branches shadows were seen.
And up upon the rocky cliffs,
Upon the rocks so high,
A castle sat upon ther rocks,
A flag above did fly.
The flag itself was scarlet,
With a dragon upon it's cloth,
And as it waved the dragon flew,
as it did hang aloft.
A single man did stand there,
Before the castle door,
His clothes were travel-weary,
He was from the crusader's war.
He had come from the long fought battle,
From the city of Jerusalem,
And as he wearily stood there,
The porter let him in.
That night there was great feasting,
The music did begin,
All the servants were there and declared,
Their master'd come home again.
Now he stands there often,
O'er looking the sea,
Pondering among his thoughts,
As he looked but did not see.
He wondered what would have happened,
If he had stayed through the fight,
But he never in his life returns to war,
For he has found the Light.

The Eagle
Overlooking the world below,
Valleys of green and mountains with snow,
Forests with shadows beneath their leaves,
Swallows' nests beneath the eaves,
Back up again to it's home so high,
The canyon reaching to the sky,
Landing, looking back again,
At the tiny world of men,
Made by God, this world and all,
And the eagle's shadow o'er it does fall.

Another Thursday
Yes, you are correct in assuming that it is I, Orion Wittifrid. I know I haven't written in awhile, but it's been rather dull around here. Luckily, that dog that was here is gone now. My owner, Molly, has earned a few "good girls" by feeding me that delicious chunky ocean cat food. Ahem, anyway, now that it is spring (Or summer, I forget which) there have been one or two flies in the house. And get this! Molly's mother expects ME to catch them! What a revolting thought. I wouldn't dare do that, but I tried to make it up to her by giving her hair a good grooming the other night. For some reason she didn't seem to appreciate it. *Sniffs daintily* What uncivilised people. No matter, Ta ta for now!

Seed pods
Out in the field so green,
There's a hundred tiny flowers,
Waiting to be seen,
With a thousand tiny seed pods,
Topped with a fuzzy swirl,
That makes this little flower,
Look like a fluffy pearl,
They say that if you blow them,
They'll grant your fondest dream,
But I'm not sure about that,
Things aren't always as they seem,
I do know that these seedpods,
As on the wind they soar,
Will make a new begining,
And a hundred flowers more.

The past week or so has been very busy, so don't be
surprised if I don't write every day. Right now I have to clean off some bee hives that are very, very dirty.

The Week Before Mother's Day
As you know, this is the week before Mother's Day. Of course, I really remember it, because I have a special reason. This year Mother's Day is both Thing1 and one of my Grandmother's birthday! So on Saturday we are going to my Grandmother's house to celebrate. I get to see my grandparents and thaey have horses (Dusty and Dawn) so it will be great. Here is a picture of Dawn.

A Sunday Afternoon
I'm so sorry I didn't write yesterday, I didn't have time before bed you see. Just to let you know, my recital went really well. I played The Chorus from "Judas Maccabeus", Road to Boston, Devil's Dream, and the Swallowtail Jig which I played with my teacher and her husband. Today nothing of note happened. After Mom and I finished delivering the three-part Sunday paper (which was extremely heavy, and made my fingers cramp because it was so big around) we came home and got some sleep. We had finished early, so we did get to have some extra sleep. After church we came home and had lunch. Then I did my chores and made banana pudding. Next Mom and I made cards. Dad came home, and we watched a movie. We had dinner, then dessert, and now I am writing this. Yesterday, however, there was a huge thunderstorm! It was raining really hard, and lighting and thunder abounded. I sat out on the back porch awhile (it's covered), but then I had to go clean up the kitchen. I wrote a poem about it, which I will include tomorrow, as I don't have it with me right now. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Molly

A Honey of a Day (Sort of)
In a minute I will explain my odd title to you, but let's proceed in chronological order shall we? This morning was nothing much to tell about, I basically did my school work all morning. Then Mom took Thing2 to the doctor. He has strep throat. So in the morning I will do papers again. Oh well, I can listen to my music in the car. When Dad came home from work, I went to the store with Mom. While we were gone (okay, get ready) A friend of my parents came and dropped off a bee hive. You see, my Dad wants to raise bees. My Mom doesn't mind, and Thing2 is can practically contain his excitement. I, on the other hand, am not so excited. I am afraid of bees. With all their buzzing and flying around, not to mention their very dangerous stingers, they make me nervous. I'm not exactly sure how to handle all this, so I'll just try my best. Dad showed Mom and I the hive though, it's pretty cool looking. Except for the dead bees in one part. Anyway, remember the schoolbooks I told you about? I found this really cool book in the store today (By one of my favorite authors) about Robin Hood. I love books about Robin Hood, knights, and medieval days. Mom says if I finish my schoolbooks this week, I can get it. So good-bye for now, I'm off to read Joan of Arc!

Molly

Today is Tuesday...
Wandering
Hoping for a brighter day,
Through this world and trials long,
On I march, I sing Christ's song,
Past darkness and through valleys deep,
Through suffering Christ my heart will keep,
This my prayer throughout the day,
"Lord keep my heart, don't let it stray,"
My hearts wandering on away,
But still in Christ my hope will stay.

Satisfaction
Today was exciting, busy, and well worth the sweat.
This morning we did some work around the house. You know, now that the weather is warmer (I hope for good) you have to go through all th summer clothes and pack the winter ones away. That's what we did this morning. Then we cleaned off the back porch. Next we ( meaning Thing2 and I) went and took our bikes down to the street. Mom and Dad sat on the front porch for awhile, until they decided our bike tires needed air. After that they said the bike I was riding was too small for me (It was a trick bike) so they got out Thing1's bike that he doesn't use anymore and let me ride it. It was alot more comfortable. Then, wonder of wonders, I rode around the block for the very first time. I had to walk it twice (Our neighberhood is very hilly) and got scared out of my wits by cars, but it was worth it. After that we came in and got something to eat while we watched a movie. We went back outside after that. Oh, I forgot to mention that my dad came down with us the first time. So we went back outside after the movie and rode around the block a different way. Coming home we had to go down a big hill. Thank you so much Dad for riding beside me and encouraging me. Not to mention it started raining when we were coming back. So now I am here writing this. I don't have any poems for you though, sorry.

The Begining of the End (of the week)
Today is Friday, the begining of the end of the week. It's been a busy day, cleaning and work around the house you know. Tonight I am going to on one of my best friends birthday party. That's why I am writing a little early. But nothing much has happened, so I really don't know what to write. I love horses, in case your wondering what the picture has to do with anything. I like drawing them, taking pictres of them, anything to do with horses. I didn't do that picture however, I found it on the internet, Very useful thing. Since there's nothing else to write I shall stop now.

Molly

A Journey
Back Again
Sorry I didn't write yesterday, but it was a busy day. I was
very excited yesterday, I have taught myself how to ride a bike.
I know your thinking: "Wait, she couldn't ride a bike?"
I know. But I have a terrible fear of falling. Anyway, yesterday
I finally succeeded. Today was also busy, though not quite as much.
There was nothing much to note all day, until finally dinner arrived.
I was making macaroni and cheese. I was draining the noodles when,
drat my clumsiness, I poured boiling water on my foot. Yes, it hurt very much.
So now I have three burn blisters on my right foot. On a lighter note, at least
dinner was easy to clean up! That's all for now.
In Christ,
Molly

My Tuesday

Mondays, what can you say?
Perhaps I was exaggerating a bit. How about "It's been
another cold Monday." Yes, that works nicely. And how true is that?
It's very annoying when the weather teases you, don't you think? I mean, only a few
days ago I was seriously thinking about finding my shorts, and now I'm digging for my sweater. Quite dissapointing, although I must say, if this is only spring, how hot will summer get? One can only hope we won't need heat shields. Anyway, today my day started with drama (Mom had to get me up because I forgot to set my alarm clock, wonderful things, Mothers are, thanks Mom). I am in a play, and it's going to be difficult because it's a very funny play. If we're laughing so hard we can't even say our lines...oh Orion. You know sometimes I think my cat must have no brains at all. He has been chewing on a blanket my Mom used to cover her quilt, and just now he dragged out of the sewing room into my parents bedroom all the way across the stairwell. Here's an attatchment from him: "Oh, well, um, you saw that? Ah yes, just practicing my hunting skills, got to keep the old claws sharp you know! Well the back ones at least..." He is declawed you know. Well as I was saying, we went by the library on the way home and picked up some books of ours. Then we came home and had lunch, I did my school work, Dad cam home from work, and *takes a breath* Mom and I made supper. Phew. And now, as you can tell, I'm writing on my blog. Fun day. Here's a poem I wrote awhile back:
Beauty from on High
Grass on the dunes,
Fish in the sea,
Birds in the air,
Wind in the trees,
Clouds in the sky,
Sheep in the fields,
Deer in the forest,
Rocky outcliffs that shield,
Dewdrops on grass,
Bees in the flowers,
Rain on the window,
Roses on bowers,
Reeds in a pond,
White-caps on oceans,
Gurgling streams,
Oh what a notion!
God made these things,
For you and for I,
In hopes that we'd see,
The beauty from on High.
In Christ,
Molly

The last post of the day
Exciting Things
My older brother, Thing1, is coming home from
college for the week-end! I miss him alot sometimes.
Thing1 needs a break, he's been working hard since spring break.
Hello there...
I am Orion Wittifrid, as my owner has already so graciously introduced me. I am well schooled and come from a long line of distinguished English cats. *Clears throat* Exscuse me. It must have been that falcon I ate for breakfast. Us Wittifrids are proficient in the ancient art of hunting you know. Why are we so good at it, you ask? It might be our amazing speed, or perhaps our abounding strength... Anyway, must go. It's time for tea.
Ta-ta,
Orion Wittifrid
My first post(Yay!)
This is my blog, and I will warn you straight away that my cat and I (that would be Orion) can be very imaginative at times. I write alot of poems and short stories, so don't be surprised if you see them on here. We can also be very random, and rambling is just what we do. Orion is a very privileged cat, so he will also have posts on my blog. With a little help from me, of course. We hope you have a nice day, and enjoy my blog!
In Christ,
Molly
